Baptism
Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: "Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word." (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1213)
Like all sacraments, Baptisms are community celebrations, so we encourage parents to celebrate their child's baptism during Mass. Baptisms are generally scheduled for the first week-end of each month.
Prior to Baptism, parents are asked to call the Faith Formation office to set up an appointment for a pre-baptism interview and register for the baptismal preparation class.
Please call Becky at 356-5353 for information and to register for the session.
Baptism Preparation Classes meet in the Holy Family Room off of the narthex of the church at 7:00pm.
