Once again we are embraced by the changing of seasons, a delightful gift that comes with living in Wisconsin. As the warm, muggy, days of summer give way to Autumn,my prayer and hope for you is best expressed in the words of St. Paul:
Rejoice in the Lord always.I shall say it again: rejoice! Your kindness should be known to all.The Lord is near. Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.(Philippians 4: 4-7)
As I reflect on these last months,it has been great to welcome 54 new households/families to our parish since the first of January. It is wonderful to see so many people of all ages committed to learning and growing faith by being involved in our GIFT program,in Scripture Study, The Mass, and in numerous opportunities for service in the parish and the larger community. And, to now have 135 children in our school, the building is alive and well!
Let us continue to know Jesus Christ, and with good stewardship, be a vibrant source of hope for others as this faith community of St. Joseph.
