The Finance Council provides financial advice regarding:
The annual operating budget.
The long term strategic plan.
The parish’s financial condition, including its investment portfolio and debt obligations.
Internal controls and
Communication of financial information.
Under Church law, parishes are to have a Finance Council to advise the Pastor about finances and investments. Our Finance Council meets on the third Tuesday of the month. Meetings are open to all parishioners.
Current members of the council are: Mark Bostwick, Ann Berres-Olivotti, Bill Campbell, Pat Carignan, Jennifer Fitzpatrick, Tom Filipiak, Dan Bullock and Ed Tourdot.
The Parish Trustees are: Frank Friar & Sarah Connor

Financial Highlights – Fiscal Year Ended June 30, 2010
The year just ended was a good year for the financial well being of our parish community.Offertory collections fell short of the budgeted amount by approximately $39,000.However, additional restrictive giving exceeded expectations. The Parish operating departments performed well in comparison to their budgets.As a Parish, we performed $17,738 better than budget. The expenses were very close to budget.The note payable to the bank, which financed the church expansion, was paid off during the fiscal year. Your Finance Council receives and reviews the Parish Financial Statements each month.Detailed financial statements are available for your review at the Parish Office.Please schedule a time with Dan Fitzpatrick if you would like to review the detailed financial statements. St. Joseph Parish follows the Diocesan timeline which determines the fiscal year as July 1st to June 30th each year.
