Baptism

Baptism, the gateway to the sacraments and necessary for salvation by actual reception or at least by desire, is validly conferred only by a washing of true water with proper form of words.  Through baptism men and women are freed from sin, are reborn as children of God, and, configured to Christ by an indelible character, are incorporated into the Church.  (Code of Canon Law, 849)
Like all sacraments, Baptisms are community celebrations, so we encourage parents to celebrate their child's baptism during Mass.  Baptisms are generally scheduled for the first week-end of each month.

Prior to Baptism, parents are asked to call the Faith Formation office to set up an appointment for a pre-baptism interview and register for the baptismal preparation class.

Please call Becky at 356-5353 for information and to register for the session.

Baptism Preparation Classes meet
in the Holy Family Room off of the narthex
of the church at 7:00pm.

March 20
May 15

Baptisms are currently being scheduled for the week-ends of:

April 14 & 15
May 6 & 7
Baptisms are not celebrated during the season of Lent.
